A little different to when it came out of the box, picked it up NYE 07

the list goes on but here are a few of the add on's

SE 257 cams, pipes, air filter, SERT and ended up with 84hp and 91 ft/lb of torque. Have done the engine mount mod, fixed alot of the vibration, still can't see out of the mirrors at idle but thats because of the bars not the engine. Killed its 1st rear tyre at 15k so got rid of the front one at the same time, put an Avon Cobra on the rear and a Venom on the front, transformed the way the bike behaved and got rid of the rest of the vibration. Has done 26k now. Dealer did some mods to the clunky front end and fixed that prob, heavier oil etc.

Chrome fork legs, Tri-Bar tail light, 16" bars with braided cables to suit. American spec headlight so both bloody lights work on high and low beam, a rock through the original got rid of it but I would have changed it anyway. It has a sissy bar, rack and hard HD sadle bags for when we go away, I took to the rack with the angle grinder and lowered it by 2" as the bloody thing was too high and looked horrible. Lots of other little blingy bits.

Service it myself as the dealer never does it the way I want it done and for the price you pay I will wash the bloody thing myself.

    Q. would I buy another one?   A. in a heart beat....awesome bike, handles well, great for touring, needs a better seat but that will come.

I am going to buy a fatbob next, glad to read you like it - especially the touring, I notice that 3 have been sold in the last week on Bike sales, 2 off 2009 and a 2008 all looked good, the highest asking price for one was $26,000, one for 25000 and 24500, 3 more weeks and one would have been mine

    Graham,

Here is what I did with my Fatbob. You still only end up with one light on for low beam, but with high beam selected you get both. If you want to ride with both on, just select high beam. It doesn't matter how you go about modifying to get both lights on together, the r/h light will always have low beam aiming and the l/h will always be high beam. It is built into the reflectors.

The standard bulbs are both 55 watt H11. You can also fit 65watt H9s by cutting off one of the keyways in the base of the bulb. Gives you some more light at least.

Follow these two links to answer your question. Item 29 in the first link and item 13 in the second.

Thanks for the comment guys -.....the seat is a mustang wide solo with thin pillon quick release and fender bib - its very comfortable and very well made it costs me all up - $725 delivered to my door - I ordered it Thursday night and it arrived the following Thurs afternoon from the manufacturer in America - at the moment they are giving us $120 discount on freight - the pillon seat literally only takes 20sec's to put on - I have been riding Harleys for about 20yrs now, I have been through a few seats, and if you needed to compare it to something, I would say it would be better than a bad boy seat!!!

Had my Fat Bob for about a year and half now - it is suich a different ride to my Springer I love the way it handles.

The V&H side shots look great but boy are they loud - just chiped my front fork legs on the weekend so have shinny bits showing through the black lower legs. Not certain to get them re-painted or go chrome. Anyone repainted there lower legs?
