Well, after Julies off last Monday, I thought our bad luck was over for this year WRONG
Riding along on the Road King today, minding my own buisness and being a bit more cautious after Julie's accident, when Mr Ï don't understand english"decides he wants to turn right from a left hand lane at a double laned round a bout.
Result, one banged up Lofty and one smashed up Road King.
These Road King are sure one tough Mother Fuckers, did a fair bit of damage to the cage
Crash bars a bit mangled as well, and the forks don't seem too straight any more, but she'll be fixed.
Fuck knows what we did to deserve this run of bad luck, but fucked if we are going to let some other fuckwits bad driving stop us from enjoying the bikes we love.
Geez Lofty ,glad your ok ....... hope Julie is on the mend ok also......cheers Jake
Jeez Bob, time to drive for a while I reckon. Will catch you tomorrow.
beejeezzzus Bob.... you'll do anything to get our of housework for the next three weeks hey
really sux mate, but glad that you are relatively unscathed and that the bike can be fixed....... happy for you to take the Street Bob on the toy run tomorrow if the Spider is still at the dealers
What else can I say Bob. Geezus.
Stay home for a while.
Sorry to hear about the prang Lofty
It is exactly what has happened to me last year. Then the bitch had a cheek to lie in her crash report, lucky I had an independent witness and after a court case her insurance finaly paid up and I got my excess back. It only took a year.
But I'm lucky that I only ended up with 6 cracked ribs. Two weeks ago my mate had a collision with a truck (again - on a rondabout) and is in coma in Intensive Care Unit. Lots of injuries. Might not pull out of it.
Hope you both mend well
hey Bob that sux....
for reference, I received my WQBE renewal from my daughter when I arrived in Adelaide only to find she had forgotten to scan and email it to me and I thought fcuk I was riding the bike from Brissie uninsured. Anyways rang WQBE and they told me it would have not been a problem as they extend the policy by 14 days provided payment is received within the 14 days.... might be too late to talk this over with Swan to see if they do the same!!!!
