My HOG chapter has been officially disbanded

 

West Coast South Oz Chapter has been closed by HOG as our sponser dealer closed a couple of months ago.

we will proberly join the Adelaide chapter and run up this way with an area coordinator

Sad day for some of us, I have been in since 2002 but some of the guys (Pete) at the meeting were founding members.

Where is International Harley??? well don't they take our money and put on piss weak rallies (open too all bikes and public to de-mistify HOG)what shit...The only good thing about Tassi were the participants, the comererderie and the beautiful state (we along with many others toured for 10 days...fabulous) while little miss piggy posed for the papers....whew..finally got that out....they should be looking after the Whyalla Boys and Girls better than that...yep I'm pissed...see ya

we had members all across the state, ceduna to Adelaide, Pt Lincoln to Roxby and heaps in between
apparently we needed a sponsering dealer, and a dealer can only sponser one chapter so we were screwed

we had done a bit of work on the state rallie for next year with the venue and getting the caterers. we had a band booked and a few other things, Tee shirts were designed, lucky not printed, just a bummer
we have spoke about just going for rides, but most of us still want to be involved with a chapter so we will have the best of both worlds, I may concider the area coordinator possie, i have had a couple of rides penciled in for next year and an overnighter to the yorke peninsular, we will be donating around $16k to charity, thats what we had for the state rally
oh well thats life, will move on

I guess things happen for a reason. Hey if your all good blokes no reason ya cant still ride. After all isnt riding the main thing. 


 

Oh and btw a chapter is somewhere you can hang out and drink etc.. Cant remember seeing a bar at Peter Thievens..

Well to be in your local HOG you need to be a member , twice once for the international and then for the local , fuck em , i don't need a pin and 3 magazines a year plus the right to punch in my number and look at there site to be told fuck all .

The local one well may be good but fucked if i'm paying Harley or whoever gets the money so i can go for a ride around south Australia , start your own social group, fuck i might even join

I do see what you are saying, we have all said we will still get together and ride

as far as a forum get together and go for a ride, my nearest member is 1.5 hours from here (Twincam 88) then on to Adelaide, I was concidering going on the Edenhope run, I would have to have left the day before or leave at 4:30 to travel with the rest of the guys from Adelaide.
one day I will ride to Adelaide for more than a day and meet some of the charactors of the forum.
