    Hi Guys,

Can anyone give me some advice re the butterfly valves on my 09 dyna........i have just picked up a pair of S&S mufflers and am about to fit them, taking off SE mufflers.  I was told that it is a good idea to disconnect the valve as it will perform a lot better......I would appreciate any input that you would have there....Many thanks......

Yep trash the valve just there to keep the noise police at bay to get past ADR's and chokes the poor engine, but suggest you probably need to put ina hiflo aircleaner and get a fuel management system a snew models already run very lean and putting on less restrictive exhaust components extenuate lean running and higher temps which are not good, lots of good info and opinions on here re fuel management systems, myself I use the HD SE Race tuner.

Got they guys in the shop to do mine, they jammed it open with a pop rivet, also if not changing tuner you will need to get them to plug in and turn it off or the bike will start throwing fault codes.
