Out today on a 'Pat Malone' ride Northern Wheat belt area WA, reboot an old thread with a couple of pics. Would have been a thriving community in its day. Old general store and servo, now a eye sore, on another road less travelled.

Wouldn't go as far as calling them an eye sore. Love traveling through towns with old abandoned buildings. Sort of gives the towns some character.

Good to see this old thread bought back to life.
What is the name on that ----- agency building?
    Pia--aning or something.
Yeah, they are a bit hard on the eyes too. Bet there is lashings of Wittenoom asbestos in those ruins.

Piawaning, FC, plenty of the Wittenoom 'Blue' in the building, underground fuel tank still buried under the bowser.
The old goods shed at Wongan Hills has had some resto work done to it, looks to be still in use for storage.
