Does anyone know how these work and if they have had any issues?. I have instaled these on my 09 dyna with a base map V&H big shots and big sucker air filter. Have run the bike over some short runs no real miles as yet and have checked the trim map on the auto tune and it just displays zero settings do you have to give the bike some long runs for the auto tuning system to work?

    Cheers

You should see it working straight away apparently (60 seconds after engine reaches working temperature). I had one fitted to my 08 Fatboy with V&H BSS, 103" kit, SE211 cams, Heavy breather. Have only done a couple of runs but the bike is now running much better than it has ever done. Will see if it improves over time even more but I can say confidently that I really like the fact that the bike is improving every time I ride. Would suggest that it would be good to get an experienced to tuner to take a look.

WA Fatboy,  if the bike is put on the dyno and "tuned" properly is there any advantage of having the "auto-tune" function???  I can see its merit if you have downloaded a close map because then the auto-tune does the fine tuning...... but if a custom map is created on the dyno, is there any benefit of having the autotune capability?

The purpose of auto tune, I think, is to get the a/f closer to ideal for the mods you have and your specific bike, without need to spend $$$ for a dyno tune. If you have a good dyno tune, you probably already have the best tune for the bike. I would be concerned that auto tune would hurt you in the PCV case, thinking it knows better how to set up the bike than the tuner did with his better equipment. I dunno... just saying.
