Hi all,
I'm getting ready to install my new Kuryakyn grips. The supplied instructions tell me to lube the throttle grip and cables as per the workshop manual. While I'm at it I will do the clutch lever and cable also. The manual says: Apply a light coat of graphite to the handlebar Q 1. Will graphite powder be the go? Put one or two drops of SUPER OIL (Part No. 94968-85TV) into the housing of each cable. Q 2. What is SUPER OIL and why only a couple of drops? In the past, on my non HD bikes, I used ATF with a gravity feed setup (something my old man taught me).
Thanx for the help guys. I lubed my cables and throttle on the weekend as well as put on my new grips.
Everything works like it's supposed to (just like a bought one) and the grips look great.
