I'm having problems getting D407 200 50 17 tyre for my bike......Local dealer tells me there are big problems getting stuff like tyres out of the US cos of the economic situation there.....

Is it just a local thing or is there bigger problems with getting stuff for Harleys?....I hear even M&M are back ordering more than ussual....

i buy 2 sets in advance due to this problem ,but theres more choice now with pirrellis,bridgestone,etc makin tyres for harleys.had a look in other mags and theres more out there than dunnies..

Hmmmmm!!....Spoke to SW HD today and put me name down for a tyre....3-6 month wait they tell me

The prob with most other brands is that they are not rated for heavy cruiser, certainly not in the 200mm size....more for sports bikes....R17 is not a popular size either......I will look into changing to a 18" rim if this is going to be an ongoing problem...

Ando.... you must have got the last D407 in the country mate....

Bike tyre city have a 190/60r17 road smart...gonna get it fitted on Sat morn as an interim....

Give Twin Tyres in Maddington a call, I had same issue with Tyre for my Ultra (Diff size I know) , they had one on shelf and reordered Dunlop and got 2 straight away,think it might be Dunlops via HD system v Dunlops v Dunlop supply chain, givem a try anyway

Frasers don't have any tyers to fit 09 and later tourers and SWHD only has a rear, bloody great seeing as I need a front as well !!!

Think I surprised them by doing over 25,000 ks in under 6 months.
