Not a harley i know but im sure someone will have something to add.
basically has anyone had a good look at theses things. They are insane looking bikes but i have one issue. If you want to build the kit yourself you have to pay about $36,000 for the australian ADR kit. The USA kit cost $22,000. Now how the f#@k can making a kit Australian compliant ad $14,000 to the price. Likewise fully built bikes in the U/S are$32,000 when here they are close to $50,000.Now they sell the frames and rolling chassis seperate if you want in the states and say that if you do you must register as a ICV( Actually the american version of ICV). Now why cant we buy a kit and get it shipped here at a total cost of around $25,000 ( I have checked pricing already) and have it constructed as a ICV. If you build it the same as the current already complied bikes here in Australia then there should be no hassels with the engineer, blue slip and rego.My understanding is the major changes are brake lines,Indicators and maybe the rake.So at the end of the day you could have a fully built big bear chopper for under $30,000. Has anyone looked into this
If your wondering why its $14,000 more, first off the prices on big bears web site are in american dollars.. Then you have to include the shipping and freight.. The A.D.R Compliance base costs are $8,000 depending on the model..
well the picture your looking at there isnt a big bear.. with big bear you have everything legal, Super Trap 2 into 1 exhaust , All rake and seat heights, Lighting set ups and electronics
Just started looking at a BBC Devil's Advocate ProStreet 2-Up ..... AU$53,000 Must admit that the boys at http://www.wildcardcustoms.com.au/ have bent over backwards to help me. Their customer service is second to none, considering no other BBC dealer in Australia would reply to my email requests. They have even addressed my service issues given I am in Perth and they are in QLD. Top marks to Kelvin at WildcardCustoms for service !! The wife and I are going to fly over to Maroochydore in March to check out the 1st Devil's Advocate ProStreet 2-Up in the country. BBC are the only chopper that I can find which solves the 2-Up problem for me. Nett result is that if I buy a BBC, WildcardCustoms will get an order from me this year. Now if only my local HD stealer provided the same level of service
have to agree with you there FXCWC I have spoken to the boys at maroochydore myself and i always drop into the shop for a peek, they are always friendly and are never pushy even when you tell them that you are just looking they won't shuv you off and ignore you. and there bikes do look very well put together.
should ask them to send you over a copy of there dvd that shows the workshop in america and all the models.
Thanks mrsmac.
Kelvin at Wildcard customs has been great. Just waiting for the bike I want to come into the country so I can go over to QLD and take a look before ordering one.
Cheers
Yep that's the plan. Haven't found a better looking two up chopper anywhere else on the planet (yet). The perfect cross between my FXSTC and FXCWC.... best of both styles of ride.
