I was there at the Funeral, very moving, and great to see the long line of bikes behind the hearse, I estimate about 130 bikes (including the 3 leading the Hearse). Shep sure was a great man, and it was a fitting sendoff, many big names in the bike scene were there.

I must have been the only person on here to attend I guess!!
I was there mate.
Hi Fatboy,
Were you in the cortege, or were you one of the many waiting at the crematorium? I was in the cortege.
FXR I was in the cortege. Left from Sy's. Huge turn out wasn't it...
Yes Fatboy, it was a great turnout for Shep, he was a popular guy. It was a great priveledge to carry an obviously so well respected fellow biker on his last ride (I was the hearse driver) although I have to admit I probably didnt know him as well as many that were there, I wasnt a close friend or anything, but I did know him, I had spoken to him many times at Sy's usually on a Sat. morning which is usually the only time I can get there due to work commitments, and as far as I can tell, it was the only time he was mostly there as well. I also spoke to him once briefly out at WSID, when I was out there watching a fellow club member drag racing.
