Iron Drag Bars vs Nightster

The Iron drag bars are great on the highway and look cool but I'm finding the forward-leaning position a bit uncomfortable (although I can live with it ok). The dealer suggested fitting Nightster bars which I can see come back an inch or two. I sat on a Low and the bars were even closer and felt great but it's a different matter when you are actually riding for a bit. Any comments?

taffy i hated my stock nightster bars, a little lower or higher would of been much better... i was just lent over in a bad spot. i put some 14inch apes on and much more comfy to ride... not so sporty around bends anymore tho

Hi, Marie put a different set on her nightster that pulled back by an inch and were skinner by an inch. Stock black bars from m&w, might have been off a sports but not sure. Suited her right.

    Heya

The bars on the Low are great....as long as you don't spend a lot of time riding at more than 90kmh. I have to go a few freeway miles everyday, so I find the standard bars far better at those speeds, but bars are such an individual thing.

Make sure that the standard wiring and stuff will fit before you go buying new bars, or it could turn in to an exxy experiment. Oh, and my 'Chrome consultant' suggests Mini Apes for this bike ( though I am not so sure).

BTW The wifey and I got pulled by the POlice the other day, and was pleased that my modded stock pipes were not an issue (even tho  they sound good..). Not sure my mates with their after market stuff would have been so lucky.............

    Cheers

    Eddie

I love the stock Iro bars. - I've got some 28inch drags & I dont think I'll be putting them on anytime soon.

Can anyone tell me how to post pics here?

I found that I was leaning forward and after alot of searching etc. my dealer also suggested fitting Nightster bars.

Took his advise and with them comeing back an inch or two further, it is really a lot better .....  for me anyway!!
