..... looking to buy some kit for my little lady when in Oz, that can also be used up in Asia. So, do I go for leather jacket or Draggin jacket? What is the leather like in humid climate and how much maintenace?

Since I moved up here my leather hasn't been worn. Air flow jackets are the go. I also use bmw {oops, dirty word} air flow boots.
