G'day people

Found this forum by accident, and it looks pretty good. I belong to a similar Yankie site but this is more suitable for my liking.........more local flavour if you know what I mean.  I recently bought a new 2008 Road King Classic, black of course. Have the S&S Mufflers, Filter and download etc, plus backrest and rear carrier.

Already done over 3000km and loving it, there is great country roads up here in SA. This is my second Harley and after the Softail I'm a convert to riding with a screen, so much more relaxing.  How did I survive without cruise control? Surprised me how handy it is on long trips.

Anyway, this is my first day in here, and yes I will post some pics of the bike and trips.

I'm from near Port Pirie, 15km east in the foothills.

Funnily enough I was down your way on Easter Saturday, went to a wedding at Macclesfield and stayed at The Victoria Hotel in your town. We were in the car, but I commented to the missus we must take a ride down on the bike and stay overnight. Looks like it's the place where all the Adelaide riders head for a coffee and chat. A lovely little town, I was impressed. If we head that way I will let you know.........TC
