Firey---- Tell ya mate times are a lot harder for them than they let on , tell them what your willing to pay and be done with it , Tell them thats what you can pay go ask the manager, and don't back down.

Mate there there to get every dollar they can its there job , but set your budget and don't waiver , on my last bike i was dealing with interstate and home , and let the salesman know i was willing to fly interstate to buy and consider it a adventure not a hassle. end result was lots of phone calls the manager said its the last offer , no deal , 100 bucks knocked off , and told the general manager said its the lowest , no deal in the end it was a case of your within 200 dollars don't ring me back unless its a deal cos 'm gonna buy elswhere , they done the deal.

Also another tip depending where you are, I know that if you ring Peter stevens once they have your name , the price quoted is logged in the computer and you cannot , play a store of against another , i tried and the salesman told me straight , we cannot beat interstate quotes , match but not beat there own stores , so your locked in to dealing with that salesman , you want better that store has to do it , and that suprised me because i thought they were all seperate

The manager at this dealership is the only one town A. C. T - he would definatly be a good poker player. He would still have his first $5 and mine to, this price would be off the salesman and it would be cheaper than the boss.
Thats why we all go else where.

ring around for the best deal regardless of state , i found Harley City     http://www.harleycity.com.au         the best for price in melbourne . Peter Stevens Harley Heaven are ok blokes without a doubt , but fell short on the $$ & extras thrown into the deal .

Yer FLSTH I am interested in a swap for sure, what do you want to trade? She has done 40 years, still looks good, goes well, only attitude needs fixing - she comes as is - she gets the shits if you don't ride her for hours at a time, and is likely to bash you if you can't!!!
Still nice and tight when you give her a sqeeze through the mountains, riding bald hill is still lovely, be warned Only apply if your a Quality Seasoned Rider, and must be able to hang on - she will not put up with a quick squirt around the block!!!!

And she obviously doesn't get in here too often...
