G,day everyone..Just joined, I have had Harleys since 1990, the first was a 1974 sporty that was in bad need of repair,engine and trans were good, so a tidy and respray was all it needed, sold that and bought a 1978 FLH ,rebuilt the engine, traded that on a 1993 Fatboy, after about 3kms I thought "what have I done". It had stock pipes,the tanks were to small and it just sat to high, so a new set of pipes ,5 gall tanks,got rid of the intake restrictor, dynajet carby kit. White bros lowering kit ,it was heaps better.I now own a 1970 FLH restored but with a Mustang seat, I'm a self employed mechanic and have been in this trade for 35 years. I do all the work to the bike myself and its magic to ride something thats 40 years old next year...Sambo
