big gun pipes hitting the ground

    Hi all

i have an 07 softail custom, last year i put a set of Samson Big gun3s on, along with a thundermax system and highflow air filter etc, everything is working well except i drag the pipes on the ground at speed in a hard right hander or going around a roundabout?  which no matter how much your use to it or the fact you know its going to happen, its instinct to stand it up mid corner which is not a good thing? My question is short of putting a new set of pipes on it, what mods can i make to solve the problem, progressive suspension, air suspension?

    cheers carlos

Can't you adjust the preload on the rear shocks and see if it helps?

welcome Carlos..... regarding the pipes, probably not much you can do. The stock pipes used to scrape when my bike was stock... About to put V&H  2:1 and expect them to scrape

know some of the guys over west who also scrape the primary.......

cant say i have had it over far enought to scrape the primary! i was thinking of perhaps looking into some sort of hydraulic suspension, i saw a guy on Anzac day who had hydralics, mainly for carrying his missus around? i thought i might be able to bump it up a bit whilst riding in the twisty stuff and then lower it again when just standing around having a beer looking at it? i just wonder how that will affect handling?
