Just wanted to let you all know that i just fitted a set of screamin eagle plugs to my 09 dyna the other day they are the latest version so i am told, [street performance spark plugs for stock compression part number 32192-10].

After fitting them i fired the bike up and it seemed to start a little better once warmed up it appeared to have silghtly better throttle responce, so i went for a quick run around the block, you can definitly feel the differance in throttle responce when pulling out of turns. will pull the plugs in a few days and see how they are burning, all in all not bad mod for the money spent [$27.00 ]  also no error codes thrown at me.

     Grumps

The plugs are the lastest release from Harley Davidson got them from Morgan and Wackers up here in Brisbane.

That's good they are working, i just run Champion plugs, they work for me.

seen a guy once that was dynoing a V8 on an engine dyno, he had three different brand of plugs, one brand was super expencive and at that time HD used the same plug but with the screamin eagle brand name on it.

they dynoed the motor with the three different plugs and was not even one HP difference between them. i know sometimes you can think something feels better but if you put on the dyno or went down the quarter mile would not see a gain, UNLESS the plugs you had in were stuffed then might see something.

    Krash.

The bike probably does not make any more HP but it definitly seems to be crisper or maybe it is just my imagination.

Krash is bang on with his explanation.

All these fancied fandangled plugs like screaming chook and splitfire's etc are there to snare your dollar and nothing else.

In my top fuel motor I run a boring normal NGK B9ES, the only thing we do to them is bend the strap back for access then file it back so when you re-gap it the strap only reaches halfway across the centre eletrode.

All this is doing is exposing the spark to the combustion chamber properly.

This plug setup is good for 700HP+ so I reckon it'll be fine for a road bike.

If you try it make sure you dont knick the centre electrode while filing the strap. Strap should have sharp'ish egdes after filing.
