G'day All,
My name is FXRfreak, and as my name suggests I'm FXR through and through!! Riding bikes is in my blood. My Father (God rest his soul) used to race British bikes back in the '40's and ' 50's, and was adaily rider most of his life, so I guess I just grew into his shoes! My current ride is an '86 Evo FXRS which I have owned since late '01, and will have for many years to come yet(well, thats what it left the factory as anyway, it has had a lot of mods. over the years). I had a couple of shovels before that and have been riding Harleys for 20 years now and road bikes in general for 30 years next month (an assortment of Triumphs, Hondas, Kwaka's, Yammies and Moto Guzzi's). I have always owned a bike from the day I was old enough to have a licence, and rode dirt bikes and mini bikes for many years before that since I was about 10. I love my FXR because it is the best of both worlds, it is a Harley AND it handles like its on rails!! I have it set up just nice, slightly raised so the clearance is ample, with the footpegs raised up higher than normal. In fact I have tried to get the pegs to scrape and I cant!, the tyres will break away long before anything scrapes, and there aint a japper that can lose me in the twisties (when we hit the straights they whip my arse, but thats another story!!(LOL)) I just love the look on their face going through the hairpins when they look around and see a Harley up their clacker..PRICELESS!!!(LOL) Anyway I am Sydney born and bred, but have ridden all over the country as well as ridden around the UK , Europe and the US, and love nothing more than to get out for rides most Sundays (and Sat's if I'm not working) down to my favorite little country biker pub, especially in winter when all the big girls blouses stay off their bikes cause its too cold!! (HAHAHAHAHA!!) and it is easy to get a seat and ya get served quickly. That way there is usually just a nice small number of riders there and a friendlier atmosphere than when its crowded in the Summer ( largely with people who ironically have windscreens on their bikes, but still cant ride in Winter! its got me baffled?!?!). My bike is my daily commuter as well as a weekend play toy. As you have probably gathered by now I just love to ride, ride , ride!! Rain, hail or shine. I have 2 motto's 1. "If ya see a motorcycle ouside a Psychiatrists office, there is a good chance it belongs to the Psychiatrist, because a tank of fuel is worth a grand in therapy!" and 2. "If you ever see my bike on a trailer RING THE COPS!! because someone stole it!!" Anyway thats me basically in a nutshell. Looking forward to many good conversations.
Respects
FXRfreak

welcome to the forum FXR...like ya intro as well...and I agree...I ride my therapist as often as possible...nothing like a full tank and a QLD country road to ease away the shitful day ..
Bein an EX cockroach...what pub are you talkin about?
Welcome and hello
Bein an EX cockroach...what pub are you talkin about?AAAAAH! That would be the GeorgeIV at Picton. The best little biker pub I know, and they brew their own beer to boot! Another one I like to ride to is the Wollombi Pub, although I only get up there maybe once or twice a year.
FXRFreak
Welcome FXRfreak. The George is where I ride quite often and the same routes that you travel. Weekends if I'm not working or during the week if I have a day off. Will have to catch up. There is also a few other local members. Cheers Muzz101
G'day FXRfreak,
I'm sorry, but to fit in here you'll have to come out of your shell. Welcome aboard the SS.NUTS.
Thanks for all the welcomes guys. I hope I will enjoy this place, although, I probably wont be able to visit as often as I would like, as I work long hours, and spend a bit of time on xall getting called out at all hours of the night and day. My boys are on the computer a lot doing research and shit for Assignments. Besides I try to get out and do stuff as much as possible instead of sitting in front of a screen for too long getting fatter, but, I will pop in as often as I can.
