Guys, this is probably out of left field, but I have just registred for this forum and am looking for Road king advice.

I have just bought my third Harley after a 15 year absence!!  It is a 2010 Road King Classic and I love it!  The only thing that gets to me is the sound with stock pipes (like a sewing machine).  Can anyone advise what would be a good set of slip-ons?  I am looking for a good idle note as well as good rumble while on the move - nothing hugely loud, but enough to know I am riding a great Harley!!  Also, I don't want to have to remap the EFI or change Air Intake - is that possible with what I imagine will then be a leaner running machine witha changed exhaust?

I have looked at Screaming Eagles as well as Vance&Hines, but I am told they are not that great and they don't really appeal to me.  Is there anything out there that anyone would recommend (Rineharts maybe) and where would I get them in AS.

not so much RK related, but I have the SE jobbies on my Dyna & I'm happy with the sound, have been down the LOUD pipes road & all it gets ya is a headache & more interest from the blue gang.......

i had a set of S/E slip on's on my FXSTC & still got em {only back in the box} , i fitted a set of Cycle Shack  slip on pipes & they sound awesome , the S/E give better than OEM sound level & nice note . but if you want a little louder get Cycle Shack pipes from East Coast Custom's  , enjoy your new bike ..

Guys, thanks for all your assistance in this.  I think I have decided on V&H stnadard slips ons as they seem to sound good and are a reasonbable price (after shelling out 30K plus of rthe RKC)!!
