Now and then my 87 FXSTC wont start. Have noticed a click noise from down behind the battery. Hard to access to see what is there I am wondering if it is a relay. It looks like i will need to remove the wheel spray cover to get at it. Am I on the right track?

Thanx for reply grumpy. Yesterday I finished putting an Illuminator 111 kit on so I no longer have to hold my indicators on. This problem was there before I started this job. Started no worries last night, rode down the main street and stalled out the front of the pub (of course) had to bump start to get home. I think battery is ok cause it starts no prob, but I hear a click from behind the battery, so I am wondering if it can be a faulty relay. I have a multi meter but have no idea how to use it. Is there a site on the net that gives a bit more info?
