Tuesday, wake up early, finally some good weather.
Aching to get back on the bike and have'nt for a while due to high winds, rain, red dust, time, etc!!

Missus is away for night or maybe two, the Boss is overseas.
Getting prepared for work, my mind keeps seeing that bike glimmering in a dark corner of the shed downstairs.

Staring at myself in the mirror, straighten that Tie or rip the fucker off? It's decision time.

Find small backpack. Throw a t-shirt, toothbrush, beanie, boardshorts, handfuls of Almonds, 2 packs of smokes, a litre of water, knife, torch, multi tool.

    Head south.
Have a Pie in Berry and probably head back?

Beautiful day, bit of wind, get to Berry, struth, barely warmed up the saddle.
OK lets make this a ride, will head to Batemans have a proper lunch and then probably turn back.

Get to Batemans and enjoying the ride but too tired to head back, hell better just go on for Moruya and see what the waters like.
Lot's of bikes on the road and little groups to tack onto along the way. Having a ball. Stuff it can't be that much further to Narooma.

Stop for a beer in Narooma, finally realise the GP is on at Phillip Island, talking to a few people,
thinking wouldnt mind seeing a few Penguins, nah gunna get too late, can't be away that long, just pop down bit further to Bermagui.

Get there, looking like rain, sort accomodation, sore as a dog, big smile on the face, rest for the night.
Next day up early, check out a few remote beaches, dolphins metres from the shore.
The everready SuperGlide is dealing with unsealed roads well!

Rain has set in, may as well lie low.

Be good to get on the water, find out about a National Parks tour to Montague Island, have a yarn they reckon theres whales out there today. Fuck it.
Roll back up to Narooma and get on board the boat 4:30 p.m.
Straight out, whales everywhere, sunshowers, rainbows, seals (australian fur and new zealand) WTF this is like a movie.

Climb lighthouse up at Montague, rainbow ending in the ocean with Whales breacking at the base! Like something out of a movie.
Watch the sun go down and the Penguins clamber up the rocks.
Head back on the boat in the dark through the swell, skirting thunderstorms, swells picked up, better not fall in in full riding clobber, DAMN this is the life!

Few coldies at the Narooma pub, struth may as well get back to Bermagui, find some good ol' country town Chinese with extra MSG at 10pm, stuff that under me jacket and head back for a hot feed and an early night.

Next day, weather is clear, air is cool, bikes is ready and waiting. Back on the steel horse.

Highway patrol are all heading south, so's the bikes, so's the traffic.
Superglide is heading North - unchecked - open the throttle, overtake everything in your path, take the winding roads and throw in the National park etc as well.

Home and hosed in record time, great to have a proper hot shower, unpack my gear, put bike back in the shed, nothing to see here.

May as well crack one more cold one and await the return of the missus.
Sit on the balcony, wow, how about those whales, how bout railing those twists and turns in the road,
how lush were those farms, how well does that bike crack, how fucking great is this Country.

    Cheers lads! Over & out.

** haha Yeah nods a plenty, I was thinking that on the way up too funny, long trip so everyone is nodding like crazy and your the only one going the other way so you end up with wiplash!

** Glad if ya enjoyed/appreciated it, cool that so many of ya dig it. Knew ya would!

** Is it for real? Yep bloody oath, though when I'd parked the bike & was standing on a boat in full leathers watching a Hump Back Whale feeding about 3 metres away it was pretty surreal. And the ride too, was averaging some bloody good speeds up and down there so that was tops too.
I took a pic of the seals and few things on the phone I'll post up as proof one day this week.

** Dear Boss, don't worry the report is done but would you belive the courier delivered it to some adress at the end of The Great Ocean Road, unbelievable, but I know how important it is to you so I'll pop down there and get it for your personally, see you on Friday.

mate they were about 5 or 10 metres from the boat at times. Unbelievable.

you can't see really in the pic, white specs, but they were breaching & tail slapping out there right by the rainbow.
