The new style Buell

    .

Doesn't seem to be many Buell owners in this forum, and I don't mean to offend you if you have one of the above models.

In my opinion the styling is lacking, I don't like the 2 scoops each side of the bike, and the exhaust system looks messy. I was just looking at the pictures of the Morgan And Wackers open day and noticed the red one. The vents/scoops look out of place. The other model with the 1200cc motor look tough and have the styling pretty well perfect. Hopefully they will change the above look.

However I love the look of that front disc.

    What do you think???

I totally agree that the scoops are ugly and the exhaust is a bit messy.  I like the style before when they were all air cooled... but I hear that new liquid cooled model there is mighty fast.

I'd rather have the air cooled model but I'd ride that new one if it was given to me.

They do make a full fairing kit for the bike so the scoops blend into the bike.

As far as the exhaust goes....who the hell keeps the stock exhaust anyways?

have to agree the look of the 1125 is crap... took both for a ride last year and prefer the older style XB12XT..... the 1125 is also noisy and hotter (roasted the old nuts on a mild day)

I've ridden one of these things and they are fast, very fast, my 63kg could not keep the front on the ground at 160kph while powering thru a long sweeper, came out at 190 front still in air. I had a OZ 2002 (USA 2000) 984 Firebolt, white with orange lettering, sexest motorcycle ever built, not real fast but shit it looked good.

An inch off the road is still up and fast motorcyles only need a front wheel if you back off  and in the end I did back off when I grabing another gear and it started really lifting, I'm crazy not stupid and thanks for the test ride Brett, promise I won't do it again (till next time anyway).

Hey i,m the biggest fan of Buells, this one is ugly yeah but is 140BHP outta the crate, how much money would you have to throw into your Harley to get anywhere near that ??? and it handles better than most space rockets Japanese, Italian, Austrian, whatever...............   Any way some firm has come up with a full fairing kit for it which make it heaps better to the eye. will have to find a piccie and post it up

Don,t forget its a "Sportbike" designed to go "Fast" round corners  and Ballistic in a straight line............................... Yes I do prefer the older Buells with the S1 like mine being the best of course!! and that had the original Erik Buell "worked " Sportster motor in it 104BHP against the stock 80bhp.

For a Tortoise to go forward it has to "Stick its neck out "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever wonder why HD jumped on Erik Buell and bought a controlling interest in his designs and company?  Answer they needed to bring there bikes up to modern standards, same reason they also have a controlling interest in MV Augusta, ( which included Cagiva, Husqvarna )

I never had a problem with my Buell but i have had a few with the Harley, goes with the territory I suppose.

I have noticed especially on this site, most of you guys don,t keep your bikes longer than the warranty period before upgrading to virtually the same bike but with a fresh warranty!  I read something into that, reliability wise.  If that offends you, tell someone that cares!  You only get out what you put into your bike.

Ride hard or stay home!  Regards Buelligan.
