What is the best tyre in the wet?

I have the stock standard tyres on my 08 1200 custom. Even though I have heaps of tread, the rear tyre is very slippery in the wet..
Can any of you recommend a tyre that grips real well in the wet?

    Thanks KiwiDave,
I appreciate the recommendation. You would certainly get a heap of rain over there.
Did you ever try the Avon Venom tyres?

Just had my first serious ride in the wet (2010 Iron) with the standard Dunlops, only 300ks on the clock and a lot of deep surface water on the roads. They went a lot better than I expected but braking was hard to judge because the Iron brakes are pretty average. Lost the tail a few times under brakes but I didn't think it was the tyres. Reading your comments Sprocket maybe it was.

I haven 08 1200 Custom as well. I put it down to them Harley's build ethos - they don't like stopping or cornering etc. :)

I have the factory tyre and admittedly, I go lightly on the brakes when the roads are wet as the front end is such a skinny wheel and the back doesn't mind making like a fish without too much encouragement.

It'll be more fun for you Sprocket when NSW gets tram-tracks too ;)
