Well Sumps not doing to bad tonight. The doctors recon he only has a small amount of lung to inflate and if he takes it easy he may be able to get out by the weekend. there are complications , they found a small cyst on his lung but dont seem to worried about it so Fingers crossed.
He is pissed off at me and everyone else for the donations and support as one would expect, I told him that car drivers don't do this stuff and to take in the spirit it is intended. he agrees and said that's why he has stuck with the motorcycling fraternity for thirty years. with rather glassy eyes i notice. I haven't told him most of the stuff that's going on. They took him down for a CT scan today in a wheelchair (instead of a wheely bed )and made him wait for four hours sitting in the waiting room in the upright position. That knocked him around a lot and he says He had almost reached his limits. It took him the rest of the day to get over the pain and has had what he calls a burger with the lot (medication wise) I think hes embarrassed at the attention but also proud to be a part of the Australian motorcycling family. his nurses say hes a dream patient and doesn't complain, they know what hes going thru. What a top bloke . its a privilege to know him

Have you told him that you will take his new bike for a run so that the battery doesn't go flat?? That should help get him out of there in a hurry. Thanks for the updates, and we all hope that he is out of there soon, all better.

Updating Sumps situation. As Bucket says. Hes pretty happy to be nearing the end of the hospital stay. Hes been giving all the nurses his chocolates and they all love him. One in particular (Anna) has come to see him tonight from another ward. Shes tops ,I met her a few nights up there looking after the old bastard. They all say hes a top patient to look after. so fingers crossed if he takes it easy he will have his tube removed tomorrow and one last xray then freedom. Pity he cant ride yet, Id love to take him on Sundays ride.

As for the nice comments regarding myself ,its not supposed to happen you guys FFS. But i promise if any of you lot end up fucked up Il view it as a privilege to step up for you as well its an honor. Lets not forget Ubs (offered a car)and Brissy Bob(offered a car) and Delux and Monarofan and Bucket and Fatboy,Etch,Hilly, I could go on and on in fact just naming these guys is leaving heaps out like Pizzlin and Tapey , Shogunrob, our social club guys, the people from the other forums . Flan , Wozza, all those coming on the ride , I have received PMs from blokes offering help who wish to keep it  on the QT. I cant begin to explain the traffic on my computer. Not forgetting Bano the c#@t and Kingchops for all the official level help with the donations button and the general PM sent to everyone plus everyone whos donated behind the scene.

Im going to wait till Sunday to tell you guys the total donations including all the on the ride type ones,but Kingchops deposited a tidy sum on Tuesday night $885 no less and there's still more to come  from the rides. Sump will hit the roof I can tell you. Im actually a bit worried, he only knows a small bit of whats going on. All thanks to you lot , every single last one of you.

Sorry it just me again but Sump will be online tomorrow to say hi. He is at our house now ,Hes had a heap of pain meds and is currently snoring. Hes glad to be out of hospital but I did notice he had a bit of trouble in the car. so still a bit of time needed taking it easy before he can handle a big trip. He is confounded at all attention. I wont thank you on his behalf, its not my call or my business.

I will piss off now and stop all this posting. I want to take this opportunity tho to sincerely thank all of you for all your help and all the nice words you have sent my way. Its been a pleasure to see the brotherhood and sisterhood kick into gear. I sure learned a lesson in mateship thats for sure. without you guys nothing would have happened, I hold you all In very high regard.

FFS this is what you people get up to while I'm on a little sabbatical eh...??? I am truly overwhelmed and stuffed if I know what to say... It's been a bit of an emotional week as it is without having to be confronted by all this... Humbled dont even come close to covering it, nor does proud to be associated with the type of people that would respond in this way, truly a mish mash of emotion that needs sorting out in my currently drug addled brain... I'll get to that in time I reckon... In the interim everyone please accept my families and my thanks for all the wishes and support during a pretty crappy time... And don't get me started on the "fund" and to those of you sneaky enough to have been fudging the truth a little to keep us in the dark... I'll deal with you's in the fullness of time... he he...

Am still pretty weak and dopey so will sign off for now before I say something stupid (probably too late already) truly heartfelt thanks to all...
