    News yesterday here in Perth.

Western Warriors batsman Luke Pomersbach was found guilty (in August) after a wild Sunday night during which he was involved in a hit and run crash, a police assault and a foot chase with officers. He pleaded guilty at Perth Magistrates to failing to stop, failing to accompany police, having a blood-alcohol level in excess of 0.08, assaulting a public officer, obstructing police and escaping legal custody.
Pomersbach, 24, was fined $3560 and lost his driver's licence for six months.
Later , the Magistrate accepted that Pomersbach would suffer hardship so he was granted an Extraordinary Licence so that he could drive four days a week, between the times of 8.00am and 8.00pm.
Pomersbach said he could not use public transport because he did not know how, and he had not caught a bus since high school.
Do you reckon the average punter would be allowed this privilege?????. Talk about one law for the rich or famous and another for peasants like us!!
In WA you are NOT allowed an Extraordinary Licence if you accrue 12 demerit points for relativley minor breaches like speeding, red-light, etc etc. Regardless of being a sole business proprietor or whatever.
So, when you get to 10 points, go out and get pissed as a fart, get the cops to chase you, run like f**k, smack one in the face and you'll be able to get yourself an ET and no full licence ban.
    Do I sound pissed off?

Does a cricket player really need a license?

Suppose, if he wanted to have an onside or an offside or even a square drive, he would need one
