G'day all, new to the forum so be gentle!

The title says it all, I recall reading something on here about wheel bearing size differences. I may want to chuck a set of standard spoked rims off an 08 dyna onto an 09 streetbob ( don't particularly like the black rims but havn't made my mind up yet...) - staight swap over or are the bearing sizes different?

you should be ok,  08 and later are 25mm bearings

07 are 25.4mm (1 inch)

 

best check before putting on, I got caught by jamming the larger axle in the 25mm bearings

I ended up taking the metric bearings to a bearing supplier and asked for the same in imperial bore ID

Have you got the 08 chromies? coz if not I may interested in doing the swap with you.

Well I'm interesetd to do it, are we sure they swap over, how are your tires and where are you?

If you in SYD we could easily do it and I'd say leave the tires etc etc.

tyres only done 1600km's. I'm in Perth but have a couple of mates doin the interstate runs - save a few dollars (alot of dollars?) any way, let me do a bit of digging around regards wether they fit or not and freight costs and i'll get back to you

yep, its a dyna but I recall reading some where on here that axle/bearing size was different on the street bobs. I could be wrong (hope I am) I'll get around to some serious checking when I can drag my ass away from the beer fridge!
