    Thanks BacaMick
I looked in heaps of places for a diagram and failed man your a legend.

I tried what you said and still the problem exists and yep must be a CV as you can see in the photo .. There are no markings n the body of the carb except the HD name.

will have to pull it to pieces I think. now I  got the ball and chain wanting to go out  so will do later  .... Dont ya hate it when a mate calls for a ride and ya cant....

Scorp, should be just a bit of crap in the floatbowl, however be careful with the plastic fitting that your fuel pipe connects to the carb. They crack if you just look at them, particulary on an older bike . A brass replacement is available.

Hi Scorps, It's a cv carb. Standard 1993 1200 jets are 160 main 40 slow. With your filter & pipe mods you would need at least 175 main & 46 slow. Check your sparkplug colour.

Hi Scorps, busy one for us tomorow  too!  When you unscrew the two jets as in bacamic's diagram you will see the sizes stamped into the bottom. There pretty small. I recomend that you change that fuel inlet to a brass one while you are at it. Happy Easter!

I was thinking the problem might have been the float in the fuel chamber but after looking at the diagram ther dosnt seem to be one like in a typical car set up.

Arrhh the learning curve continues haha Oh and by the way all have a Happy Easter aand limit them eggs as your bikes might not cope with the extra weight hahaha

well I did it ... pulled it apart and yup I found the float lol took all th asapart blew it out did a complete clean of the lower section and then put it back together.
Connected everything up as it is meant to be and there was no fluid from the overflow pipe woohoooo.

Started to place the A/C on and hmm a small drip was seen. Closer inspection of hose and fittings found a small crack in the plastic fuel inlet as Matt said. damn wont be riding tmorrow now after all. I will have to wait now till the shop can get me one in.

Matt I have had no problem with it and I can see there is a 160 main jet in there

Anyways gents Thanks heaps ey and beers all round 20 mins to cleanup and out with the family
