three accidents on the way to work last night

Driving to work last night at 5pm in very wet road conditions a motorcycle in front of me came off on a roundabout. He was a young fellow on a GS500 moving at a very fast pace for the conditions. When he got to the roundabout I knew he was going to be in trouble as I wasn't even doing the speed on 4 wheels that he was travelling. Anyway as he leaned to the left at the start I thought he must have some good rubber to be able to lean like that in wet and as he flicked over to lean right he lost it, went down and slid on the road. Helped him up and making sure he was OK and got the bike going I told him to slow down and that he was going too fast. I left him there to compose himself and went on my way.

About 5 kays down the road there was a head on smash  with two cars on the other side of the road in a road works 40kph section and traffic banked up for miles. About another 2 kays down the road, still pouring down with rain, I see a single headlight behind me catching up rapidly. It was our friendly motorcyclist on his GS 500, obviously hadn't learnt a lesson.

Just before I got to work about 20 kays from home there was another smash with two cars on a traffic light, one was badly T boned. There were ambulances everywhere.

While all this was going on there were cars whizzing by at break neck speeds. Idiots. Where do they get their licences from?

Sadly we've all heard of the instant idiot just add alcohol, well it seams to work the same for some motorists & rain

It amazes me whenever I'm in the city and it's raining, that no one seems to slow down because of the obvious shitty conditions. Still talking on mobiles, adjusting makeup in mirrors etc etc. Also tailgating is rife, wet or dry.

Sounds like a lot of drivers over here.  In too much of a hurry and don't bother slowing down.  The best is when the snow starts to fly here... cars everywhere...
