Huh....... I am six foot tall, and the bike suits me perfectly...far better than the race-style crouch I am used to. And as for forward controls, no, they don't suit me at all. As far as I am concerned it is all about some misguided form of style, in the same category as extended front ends, and hardtail rear ends............
I like a bike that is made to ride, not just look at.
Any takers.....................
So, you're thinking that having your feet in a position that is as far forward as yer hands will give you the optimum riding position?? Hmmm, maybe I should try really riding with ape hangers with me arms straight up and me legs straight forward too. And ye reckon it is'nt all about some misguided sense of style.......
Well, each to his own. It would be a dull world if we all wanted the same from a bike.
And as for your avatar suggestion, all I can say is that my wife is 5 foot tall and suited to her Low, and I fit well on my Iron, and you can't really beat what works.
Hell Yeah.
But to be honest I now find my ride to work is more fun and (mostly) at legal speeds.
Gotta love that Grin factor...............
Sorry to drag up and old post, but I've decided to do the swap finally so if anyone in Sydney (or nearby) want to swap my Iron alloys for your Nightster wires I'm ready to do it. My wheels are still pristine and the tyres are in excellent shape (4000 kays). I bought a bike lift and so I can remove my ownwheels myself. Whomever I swap with will need to remove their own wheels and remove their brake rotors as these need to be retained to match the wear rates of the pads front and rear. No one with bald tyres either please! LOL. I can drive and meet anyone within a reasonable distance, and I'm based in the inner West around Five Dock area.
Anyways, gimme a hooler guys and gals.
