Hi Enforcer, I fitted one to marie's nightster with a sheepskin cover. She loves it. Heading down as well, haven't made up our minds on which way yet.
I have used one for three years and wouldn't be without it.
A mate of mine bought a camping air pillow from a sports shop for about 30 bucks and he reckons its just as comfortable ?? I reckon you are all big girly squats.
Mate, they are great.
I've used mine for the past three trips from Perth to the Island and back and have never suffered from the numb bum. All those trips were on a BMW with pretty big kms each day
but I have no doubt it'll work just as well on the new ride. I'll find out in two weeks I guess.
Well worth the money,
Cheers
Hey I have also heard you can get these things called trailers they go behind the car, ya put ya bike on them and then sit in the car .......
Sorry just kidding, I have been having seat dramas too, I get a really sore tailbone. I am trying to get my seat customised but is going to cost me at least $600, I did consider the airhawk until a mate told me his one helped but didn't fix the problem .... was also after a better looking long term fix rather than just an add on cushion.
might be worth trying out, can always take it off when nnot on long rides, right?
They are as good as they say. A bit weird when you first try one but you do forget it's there.
For me it's a nessesity. After years of bouncing around in mining mackinery I ended up with a pressure injury on my left but cheek. Best way to describe the pain is a hot knife in the but cheek. This usually starts after around 30 minutes sitting in the one spot. Long bike rides for me was Nurofen and lots of it to knock the edge off the pain.
Since I bought and used the Airhawk I have had no probs what soever.
I SOUND LIKE ONE OF THEM INFOMERCIALS
Get one, you won't look back
