Hi Enforcer, I fitted one to marie's nightster with a sheepskin cover. She loves it. Heading down as well, haven't made up our minds on which way yet.

Yep buy one they are fucking brilliant on the long trips and the price looks about right as it was stated flatter the better just enough air to get your arse of the seat if you have too much you float around and its not comfortable so just keep letting the air out till ya get it right.

Mate with Triumph America just bought one and has offered me to give it a try. Probably get one before the Tassie trip.

A mate of mine bought a camping air pillow from a sports shop for about 30 bucks and he reckons its just as comfortable ?? I reckon you are all big girly squats.

    Mate, they are great.

I've used mine for the past three trips from Perth to the Island and back and have never suffered from the numb bum. All those trips were on a BMW with pretty big kms each day

but I have no doubt it'll work just as well on the new ride. I'll find out in two weeks I guess.

    Well worth the money,

    Cheers

Hey I have also heard you can get these things called trailers they go behind the car, ya put ya bike on them and then sit in the car .......

Sorry just kidding, I have been having seat dramas too, I get a really sore tailbone.  I am trying to get my seat customised but is going to cost me at least $600, I did consider the airhawk until a mate told me his one helped but didn't fix the problem .... was also after a better looking long term fix rather than just an add on cushion.

might be worth trying out, can always take it off when nnot on long rides, right?

They are as good as they say. A bit weird when you first try one but you do forget it's there.

For me it's a nessesity. After years of bouncing around in mining mackinery I ended up with a pressure injury on my left but cheek. Best way to describe the pain is a hot knife in the but cheek. This usually starts after around 30 minutes sitting in the one spot. Long bike rides for me was Nurofen and lots of it to knock the edge off the pain.

Since I bought and used the Airhawk I have had no probs what soever.

I SOUND LIKE ONE OF THEM INFOMERCIALS

Get one, you won't look back

Right......listen up.....I want to do something for the big trip in a few months. I need your collective opinion on the following options.

Airhawk for me and the missus (2 pieces) is $450. Looking at Sheepy Hollow a one piece sheep skin for the RKC is $295.
Cost is not an issue, as I've been given an open check book, as long as we are comfy for the 20 days away. As far as appearance goes, when the bike is parked up, I think the 2 Airhawk thingies will look a bit strange. However the one piece black sheep skin will look neater, and they do come with a free rain cover.
Taking comfort, looks and cost into consideration I'm thinking the sheepskin will do the trick. Another consideration is leaving the Airhawk on the bike over night, I don't want to be fiddling with straps each morning before I saddle up.

Saw 2 bikes from WA today when I was out riding, and they both had the lambswool. Furk me I forgot to ask them if they had considered Airhawk. The missus had a Virago with the lambswool and I thought it was comfy.

Has anyone one used both and what's the pro's and cons.
