I'm getting ready to do a few mods to the Bob. I want to internally wire the bars, relocate the ignition to the centre console and relocate the indicators from the bars to the forks.
I've got most things I'll need but I'm after some advice on a good bit I can use after I've drilled some holes in the centre bottom of the bars to cut a slot.
What I want to do is drill a series of holes about 25mm wide and then join all the holes to make a slot about 25mm x 6mm.
I figure I'll get some sort of mill style drill bit to cut the slot but was wondering if anyone could recommend a good brand of bit and also a good place to get if from?
slot cutting tool ? ................ i just call it me dick
After you do the drilling KC, just go and get a decent hand file, be done in no time
Good onya KC it'll make a world of difference to your Bob.
Tungsten carbide burr is the bit you want for your Dremel, it'll just about grind through anything. You can get a cheap Black and Decker Dremel type tool it has a 2 year warranty and is cheaper and just buy the Dremel tungsten carbide burr, it will be about $40 just for the burr.
