Awsome stuff Lisa Very cool ride, enjoy it and I'll catch up with Magpi and you at Edenhope
Lisa that is exciting beyond belief. It looks GREAT. You only posted this 30 minutes ago so I hope you are out and about on it. The weather looks ok! Report back pronto!!! I'm very excited for you. And you beat me by a few days
Saw mine today (Tue) at the dealers Lisa but no delivery until Friday because the SE mufflers haven't arrived. How's the riding?
Still happy with the drag bars Lisa? If they are too far forward for me I think I'll swap them for Nightster bars but you seemed ok with them before.
Sensational! Lisa I have not only been out on it, I have been out OFF it! Tell this to those people (like me) who thought you were a bit pessimistic with the crash bars. First time I've had an accident of any sort. Only 30 k's on the clock, at a stop sign, bit of a steep left camber on the road and a minor hill-start. Next thing I know I'm standing on the road looking down at the bike. It happened in an instant - minor scratches on the left mirror and back light (not really noticeable) but it jammed the gear lever against the housing and I had to limp back in third gear and prise it free. Works fine again, but embarrassing. The bloke who helped me pick it up was very casual about it - obviously something he's experienced himself
What a great bike Lisa. I didn't expect it to go and sound so good, especially at highway speed. Very stable. The best thing I ever owned. It sure gets a lot of attention. Now for some touch-up paint...
How do we get that rotten paint off the tires? I've tired a heap of servos after tyre-black but they all have tyre cleaner that I'm not sure will work.
I've been riding in the rain all day so it came back filthy (a bit of dirt is good for covering up the evidence of the drop!). Five minutes to clean it: Washed down (as per the owners manual) with dishwasher detergent in a bucket, then dried with a towel. Perfect. Sure beats polishing heaps of chrome.
Speaking of Harleys handing harsh weather, look at this Iron:
Great looking bike, could only improve it with a black chrome 2 into 1 supertrap exhaust and black XR750 handlebars, very nice.
