Picked up my new 2009 FLHR RoadKing yesterday from HHeaven Adelaide. Got the black with passenger backrest and V&H Monster Ovals with black tips. Will get pics up soon. Went for first ride today - only 100kms - beautiful bike. Handling is excellent - far better and less jaring compared to my previous bikes 2005 Honda VTX 1800 and 2000 Harley Heritage Softail - brakes are terrific and clutch seems so light - i was even impressed with the 6 speed gearbox changed without clunking of previous bikes. However one BIG fault - those ruddy handle bars - i lean forward and down - top of back/ bottom of neck was hurting after the ride - and my bum was sore - the seat looks great but felt i needed to be back further - im 6 feet (183cms) tall and 110kilos. Anyone have similar problems with handlebars and seat - dont want to really have to spend more $ after just taking delivery. Any suggestions appreciated.

Lofty, those bars are about what I need on my RKC. I find I am leaning forward a bit, just as well we have cruise and you can have a rest and swap hands to hang on. Don't know how safe it is but out on the open road I find I ride one handed quite a bit. I have the 08 parts book and cannot see them listed, so they must be something in the 09 parts book. I'm wondering if they will fit my bike, and probably should. Do you have the part number handy, or can you put me in the right direction when I go to PS. Who in the spares is the best to ask. I find Speedy pretty handy.
I do have the TBW. Did you do the change over yourself? Cheers tc.
