I have just clocked 4k on my new night train, the rear suspension has settled in a little bit from new but I still think it's a bit punchy.

Is it normal they may need adjusting from new ???

This is my first softail am I expecting too much for a smoother ride ???

If the shocks need adjusting whats the best way to go about it, I weigh 95kg about 35% of my riding is with a pillion who weighs about 50kg, I understand a special spanner is required for adjusting them are these available on the net?

would appreicate others opinions and experience

There is nothing Soft about them. I have fournails and they work well at speed on the hwy but no difference rnd town.
