Also the Thimerisol argument has been shot down a million times. These anti vax people do not know how to interpret scientific studies. However I only get my info from reputable "Peer reviewed" scientific journals such as the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering, Journal of autoimmunity, The Lancet, Reviews in Medical Biology etc. (independantly peer reviewed by scientists - no money involved - Just real science)

You are right about how many people the common flu kills but its a question of demographics. Common flu generally gets he elderly.
The problem with H1N1 is
1/ The way it causes the immune system to overreact in Healthy individuals born after 1950. It causes the healthy immune system to go into dangerous overdrive rather than just create an antibody response. Its using your immune system against you.
2/ Also, its the 2nd season around the planet that can be the most deadly, not the first run. I cite the 1918 - 1919 flu and the 57 - 58 flu as being the major examples.
