It's hard to let go of an old friend.  Looks like a hell of a good bike.  Hopefully you don't regret it and the new guy takes good care of it.

What a bummer mate. At least the Nightster is a worthy replacement, and starting to gather it's own list of memories.

I know how ya feel mate, I always said if I ever saw my old 77 Bonnie again I would buy it, trouble is, after 10 years without it I saw it last wednesday. I spoke to the owner and it's for sale, trouble is, I can't afford it unless I dig into our savings to go to Sturgis, which is taking longer than we had hoped. Good time to win lotto. It was the only bike I've ever regretted selling.

At least it's going to someone you know, and you will still see it around the place. When I sold my Softail (privately) I was sad to see it go. I was a bit amused/concerned a couple of weeks later when I got a speeding ticket in the mail, on the very evening after I had sold the bike. I have the blokes phone number in my phone, but have never rang to see how it's going. Probably better that I don't know I rekon. I wish I had the money to have kept both bikes, but we are not Loftybobs..........he he!!

At least when the new owner asks any questions about it you can tell him the answer will cost a beer
