I have a 2003 model Sportster, keen to change to bigger headlight.

I am sure some of you have done it before, what kind of headlight suits the sporty and where do it get it from.

I called HD, they said nothing suitable for 2003 model, and the custom headlight would be too complicated to install, to the extand it's not worth it.

    Please advise, thank you.

I really like that look Walker. And $495 is pretty good, I have seen $700 for the same sort of thing.

hi, do you need more light or just don't like the looks , if you need brighter light  you can just change the quatz globe to a more powerfull one e.g. 80/100 watt or bigger you need to install a relay an a H-Duty 3pin plug on the connector for the back of the globe as it can get pretty hot  a little air vent could help also  i have seen 80/130 watt fitted in stock h/light ,  D.I.Y. for under $100,

i can see for miles & miles  as the song said , cheers

    Hey Walka,
That looks like just what I need.  Most of the roads I travel on the way to work are unlit country roads with limited sight distance with heaps of roos (read: didnt quite miss roadkill left on road at sharp bend by cager) or highways.

Would that bolt straight onto an 08 1200C?

    Walka,
At Chrismas, I am going to ride to Perth and back. I was wondering if I was to ride to Melbourne one Saturday lunchtime in around two or three weeks time if there would be any chance you could fit it whilst I was there? If it is possible, I would arrange a firmer time with you closer to the day.

...You can never have enough light. Only last Friday at 5.30am a motorcyclist in Canberra died after hitting a dead roo on the the Barton Highway.
Even more reason for me to upgrade the lights with the dark mornings.
