had a scary moment on the way home from work 2day, was riding next to a guy who was about 1 bike length in front of me when a dickhead starts to turn in front of the both of us, his BMW 12200 GS veered right into my path, I went for both brakes but missed the fucking rear lever, the fronts did their job but I scared the shit outta me,
What I'd like to know has this happened to others, has anyone looked into fitting a different lever or something that would make the rear brake lever longer ???????
had thought of modifying brake
but am investigating a different air cleaner hopefully to keep my leg/foot in a bit tighter to the bike
thankfully no close calls where i've needed to find brake in a hurry

I made some calls & after filtering the crap, came up with a replacement pedal cover that is slightly larger ( longer by about 10mm ) from the parts guy, it's from the diamond plate range of HD bits, pulled the rubber one off & screwed the replacement on, the slightly wider parts gives me a bit more pedal to get to but only time will tell.
Got the whole set on special, pegs x 4, brake & shifter as well.
We tried the larger one off the touring range but it didn't fit or look right, one looked like a push bike pedal, YUK !
I have a lead that Kuyakin ?? have a pedal that goes over the existing rubber one, but have had no luck tracking down the info.

well yeah it was a spinchter moment, but my guess is his eyes were wider than mine, I will get some pics up soon......
