Oil question

I did my 1st oil change a couple of weeks ago on my Dyna. When I checked the oil level yesterday I found some white milky residue around the dipstick and filler hole.

To me this indicates water in the system so my question is: Am I correct and, if so, what action do I need to take?

I had moisture get into the gearbox on mine but I haven't heard of it getting into the engine ?? I just drained mine then refilled it and never had the issue again.

Thank you all - and the winner is.....the short trips. It's only 7 km to work and I haven't done a long ride for a couple of weeks. I'm going for a run this weekend with some mates and now I have another excuse get out more often.

Bloke I used to work with rode a Sporty to work and back about that distance. Hardly went on long rides. Stuffed his motor up. Now rides a scooter.

I try and get out there most weekends. I love riding my bike and I spent tooooo much money to have it be a garage ornament.

I've seen guys drain oil out, put it through filter, then put it into a pot and put on stove to cook water & fuel out then reuse. just they had the stove in the workshopm, don't think you would be popular at home trying that in kitchen.

just posting this to show there is a more possitive way to solve the problem. myself if i saw milky oil on dip stick i drain and change it .

    Cheers
