Multanova Cameras

No doubt, now that they have these Big Brother Rear View cameras they will be used ALWAYS on weekends on roads that bikers use. After all, that's why they bought them!

I personally think that the sales of used fast sport bikes will increase this next year or two as riders just give it away. It's just no bloody fun any more. They are going to nab shitloads of fast bikes for sure. If you cruise around 10km over like I usually do then look out. They're out there to get ya! You're a bloody menace to society!!

Here in WA I blame the bloody Sunday Times who made a massive deal about 2 guys hooning it for the MultaNova a couple of years back.  Naturally, they were seen as a classic example of the way that all bikers behave when you're not watching them. In reality, these guys were quite talented riders and were probably just having a laugh at the system. Let's face it, if you can ride your bike whilst sitting on the handlebars with your arms and legs crossed at 10km over the limit and some dude puts a camera right in front of you then what would you do on a quiet night (assuming you have a bad streak in you)??

It's no different than Ben Cousins giving the finger to the camera. If the camera wasn't there then they wouldn't have done it now would they!!??!!! You would expect that the cops could see that!

Unfortunately, we now have to pay the price for their 5 minutes of fun.

This weeks edition made a big deal that 25% of drivers had admitted to driving near or over the 0.05 limit in the last year!!!! All over the front page! Now I thought that it was actually LEGAL to drive UNDER the limit but the ST seems to know better! They didn't report that 25% of drivers drove NEAR the 100km/hr limit in the last year because nobody would have read the article.

The previous weekend, the brilliant "West Australian" reported that in 18% of all road FATALITIES, one of the drivers had NO DRIVING LICENCE! (I expect this means that they were currently suspended for other road offences or non-payment of road fines). That's a frightening proportion of road deaths!! Now let me think........ how can we lower the road toll...??? I know...... lets buy some more Multanovas! That will solve the problem and make us all heroes.

What the fuck are they doing with the "Rego plate" recognition cameras??? Surely with them they can tell if banned drivers are on the road. Do they just slap another fine on them and wait  to make a big noise much later when they kill somebody? We all know that there are a small number of recidivist offenders (they offend shitloads). These guys usually don't stop until they either kill or get locked up or both. So what are they doing about them???? NOTHING!!!!!

But don't worry guys, they have very efficient Law Enforcement Officers out there who will book you if you have a rear guard on your bike that is not within the 45 degree Law or a muffler that is over xxx decibels or or or or ..........

    ARSEHOLES!!!!!!

.....18% of fatalities were unlicensed drivers; that means that the remaining 82% of fatalities were licensed drivers. I wonder how many of the 18% fatalities were the victims of licensed drivers - they don't give you the break down do they.

Hopefully some common sense might be applied to road safety and the quoted figures now that dickhead Grant Dorrington is no longer chairman of the Road Safety Council

That's what I was hoping............but the bastard is STILL there and was on ABC the other night ranting as usual. Such a waste of space. It's interesting that you don't need to "qualify" to hold his position in Road Safety, you just need to be "selected". Talk about jobs for your mates!!!
