Hey.....I might try this on my painted rim to remove the black paint on it. It does say it will remove paint and I do plan on redoing them anyways.

Hey lads this is my first post I have just purchased a new 2011 black fat bob I was just reading what albymabgled does when cleaning his dyna using the ct18 in a 1 litre pump spray bottle with 150-200ml of ct18 then filled with water and sprayed on bike all over let sit for a hour then wash off I'm just after some opinions on washing my bike this way because I was hoping to use this method myself every week when I wash the bike just not sure about how much ct18 to use is what albymabgled uses to strong a mix or should it be safe I was told that using 50 ml ct18 in a 1 litre spray bottle would be enough but to me does not seem enough basicaly lads just want your opinions on washing my bike weekly this way and just hosing it off with the hose after it's been on for a hour I like the idea of doing this due to not having to touch the bike with a wash mitt or anything which could cause swirls the product claims to be ph neutral and biodegradable and safe on all surfaces just want some opinions that all because the last thing I won't is for it to fade the chrome or paint and any of the black on the engine
look forward to hearing your thoughts and hopefully albymabgled will read this and be able to give me his advice as he uses this product on his dyna since new
cheers lads sorry for all the questions just want to be sure that's all

I find that 3m stainless steel polish that you use on the fridge works wonders for keeping the black outs on your motor looking fresh. It's also really useful for getting old chrome polish off the blackouts

Bucket I clicked on the link you gave me to write a introduction I clicked on add new topic then it would not let me write anything in the area underneath were you choose the type of writing and size ect for some reason I can only reply to topics that someone else has already started but I can not start my own new topic maybe I'm doing it wrong I don't know
Also bucket from reading albymangles messages about how he cleans his dyna with ct18 since it was new I read that he mentioned to someone that youse know each other just wondering if you know that with albymangle using the ct18 has it caused any damage to his bike by cleaning it using the ct18 method like fading the wrinkle black engine or dulling the chrome or paint ect
Cheers bucket

Thanks for the tip on the ct18 lads it works a treat I used 100ml ct18 in a 1 litre sprayer filled with water sprayed entire bike with it let it soak in for 1 hour then just hosed it off and then dryed it with my airforce blaster job done never had to touch the bike with anything the hose set on mist and sometimes jet was all that was needed looked better than when I picked her up so anyone wondering about using it don't worry just use it you wont regret it and saves using a bucket and wash mitt to do the job and by not having to touch the bike with anything gives you less chance of any swirls any were
CT18 my new best mate

Got some tips for you guys to I will write it here because for some reason I can't post a new topic will only let me reply to existing topics
I was reading on a US forum that the best thing to clean the bare aluminium wheels on the fat bob or any other bike that has bare aluminium wheels is a American laundray stain spot sprayer called shout that you use on your clothes to get rid of stains so I thought I would try preen stain remover it worked great just sprayed it on let sit for a minute or so then gave it a scrub with my ez detail brush and hosed it off then dried them they came up great shinier than when I got my bike
Another couple products I have been using on my bike are mr sheen on the chrome works great I think even better than the Harley gloss then after the mr sheen I apply s100 corrosion protectent I spray it into a microfibre towel then rub it into the chrome then I get another microfibre towel and buff it to a shine because I find doing that it won't leave a oily film also use the s100 on some cotton bud sticks and apply it to all the nuts and bolts and Allen heads ect to stop them from rusting that's all I do now to keep it clean and like I said looks better than when I picked her up and I don't bother waxing the chrome I have done alot of research on if you should wax chrome or not and from what I have learnt seems preety useless on the majority of the chrome on a Harley because once the bike is running and gets hot there goes ya wax all you need to do is use ya mr sheen then the corrosion protectent apply the corrosion protectent about every 4 washings apart from that Im just going to polish the chrome and aluminium with the s100 polishing soap about every 2 months don't want to polish ya chrome to much because ya got to remember polish is a abrassive and polishing to much will just wear ya chrome down and dull it and with the paint I reccomend the s100 paint cleanser polish followed up with the s100 carranuba wax looks fantastic when done but only use the cleanser when ya paint does not feel nice and smooth to touch otherwise just wash it and wax it hope this helps someone I know we all have our own ideas on what works I think it's just a matter of what works best for you
cheers lads
