Ok, I have just spoken to Gedi (Geoff) and he has kindly offered his house as a bigger venue for the Xmas party. This is due to the larger numbers this year. Geoff lives at Elimbah, just north of Caboolture and has room for camping. (I only had a couple of couches and matresses). There is also the Sundowner 5 min away as well as a motel just up the road for the non-campers.
Proposed start time is 4pm.
I've had a look at a pig on the spit catering and we'd be roughly looking at $20/head, $10/head for kids. This is not a definite price but will be around that mark.
Another thing I'd like to know is if you guys would like some live music. I can ask my guitarist to do a duo thing with me but we'd have to slip him some cash for his time and P.A system. (of course I'd do it free) If we get 40 adults, we'd be looking at another approx $5 ea. Let me know if you'd like something like that.
Also, Trev has suggested a theme night. Is this something we want or should we just dress Trev up and laugh at him? I'm cool either way, but if we do it, we all have to dress in theme. No good half the people doing it..........
