Picked up the bike from the workshop yesterday after having a set of Shotgun Shocks shoved in her, aswell as racetech valves/springs in the front end and Arlen Ness 3" Forward Extensions.

Completely new bike now.  Well, apart from the bottom pipe i dinged when taking the first corner .

There's not a lot on the Net about these shockies so I assume that they are quite new to the scene. I have never yet heard of having a choice of "ride height" AND "ride stiffness" but always wondered why not!!! I am seriously interested in a set of these for my Rocker in the near future but I am very keen to hear about your experience with them and perhaps a few figures on the dollar cost. I realise that shockies like this are going to be top dollar but would be worth it given good reliability and good peformance. I can see from your pics that there's a good 4" of travel from high to low although the low would probably be TOO low!!

    http://www.shotgunshock.com/

They are shown at US$1550 retail in the US which puts them up at the level of Progressive, Arnotts etc (from memory). They are listed as weighing in at 14 lbs!!! (6.3kg) They also claim that they can be adjusted whilst riding which again I have not heard of before.

Australian Motorcycle Imports have them on their site at:

    http://australianmotorcycleimports.com.au/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1

but no price is shown there.

Any more info would be appreciated.

    Hey Kiteman.

Kit was $1950 in the box. Bought them from my local workshop considering i bought most of my other parts from mandmcycles in the states.

Only had em on 2 days but am really liking them. Except when i try fiddle with the ride height at the lights and drop it on its guts lol.

They don't use air to pump the guard up, rather to lower the guard down. So when u release the air the guard pops to full height. Then you use the compressor to lower it.

Still trying to figure out what height/ride stiffness i like best atm. Haven't had much of a chance to give it a good run.

1 Way Valves also so if it ever does shit itself.  You don't loose any pressure like some of the other systems.

Will let ya know how they pan out.

Sounds like the right price to me! Any chance of some pics of the switches/wiring and their mounting position and same for the compressor. I think it's gonna be tougher finding a big enough spot on the Rocker.  Sorry to hassle you!!

     Cheers for the comments.

Kiteman: I'll take some picks tomorrow for ya. Just got home from the King of the Beach bike drags and am pretty shattered. Here's the site if you can find any info on it.

Grump:  Nah, the 3" extra is great for me.  I'm about 6'2" and was finding that i was in more of a seated upright position rather then lay'd back cruising.
