I hope it doesnt become a competition to fill this great Forum up with a bunch of useless non HARLEY DAVIDSON related Crap just to register postings.

Do the replies here add to your count. RISKY im with you on this one. King CHops maybe there needs to be an ONLY TECH INFO section on the forum.

    Joe,

Yes, any post you make whether starting new or replying adds one to your post count.

Thought so. Any chance of getting an ONLY TECH INFO section and an ONLY CHAT section . Its seperates mumbo from the jumbo and lets people easily find out any info that theyre after rather than having to scroll thru pages hoping to stumble on the particular issues that they are also encountering. I suppose it would also stop the same questions being asked over and over again sometimes with no replies. Ive noticed in other forums the theyre TECH INFO section also has other sub sections. eg CARB, EFI, TRANSMISSION-DRIVELINE- WHEELS etc etc. watta ya think?

    pizz,

The reference docs section is more of a library for docs and how to articles, it's not a discussion section. I think the forum would benefit from having a split between General Discussion and Technical discussions at a bare minimum to begin with.

With the Chat module, there were some errors occurring which I'm pretty sure I've now fixed. I've been on there a few times over the last few days and it's been ok. Good to see some regulars using it (not naming names).

I like the idea of a tech section, but my concern is that when I have attempted to get a bit of a reference going on CAM PROFILES, it was like pulling teeth. There were some well received responses but overall nobody had much to say on the issue. Which I found a bit confusing as there are a lot of people with a wealth of info, but didnt add to the thread.

So having said that all you can do is give it a go.

Some of the CRAP that gets posted is in the way of a bit of fun (which is what forums are about-----isint it?) and not done to piss people off.

Show me a forum that is all serious and I'd be looking at a boring forum. Yes it is a bit frustrating sorting the wheat from the chaff, but such is life. If we all sit back and dont keep the forum alive and dynamic it will die of apathy.

    Greg,

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. The crap posts I'm talking about are things like multiple accidental posts, abuse posts and blatant spam posts.

    King KC

I love the forum as is. I ride a softy and when I need a tech info on softails I go stright to that section. I can see no point in reading a tech info on dynas, sportster etc that does not apply to me. The rest of the forum should be taken with a pinch of salt. There is agreat deal of good info, just use the search facility and you'll find what you looking for.

I love when members take a piss out of each other, that's what makes this site , and life in general, interesting.

You've done a great job KC, blokes like me (green behind the ears when it comes to HD's) benefited from this site greatly. One little sugestion - pleeeeeese aad a splell checke to the top of remerkes. Bloody foreiners like me need it badlyy.
