    Stone

    EasyRider

    World fastest Indian

    Wild Hogs

Mad Max had plenty of bike scenes too.

And if you're up for something completely different see if you can find and watch "Silver Dream Racer" starring the daggy David Essex. Fans of british bike racing in the 70's should get a hoot out of this.

Heres a list with some weird and wonderful movies:

I like the aussie classic Stone. It was made in an era when big jappers were accepatable here and were a stepping stone to the Harleys before they started to became plentiful.

    Loved an "Easy rider".

I saw it first in Poland circa late seventies, early eghties? Didn't understand much but loved the bikes.

I saw it propably 20 times since that and I must say I understand more and more every time I see it.

"Long Way Down" and "Long Way Round" are great. I would love to do a trip like that, maybe one day?

Two years ago I did a trip around the world with the majority of time spent in South America. We did a lot of trecking in the Andes but we also met a lot of people, particularly from Europe, that were riding across or down - up through South America, not on haleys though. Great stories great lifestyle.

I will do a trip like that one day but I need to save for a BMW.

Squeeech, you have nailed it! That was the ultimate at the time.  I'm thrilled that there is a trials champ on the forums. Other than road bikes, dirt bikes were always tops but trials is the ultimate challenge (although i'm c-)

Anyone else see Cosy Cool,an Aussie movie, starring the Commancheros before the Milperra massacre. Some say it may have lead to the idea behind Milperra ??

rkc,you should be able to find a copy of STONE on the internet that you can download.I personally like the Joey Dunlop story,a tribute to the greatest road racer of all time. Also have V4 victory, story of the vf Honda race bike evolution. Also have The History Of The Castrol six Hour Race, just for a bit of nostalgia. Also the usual IOM TT tapes and of course Easy Rider. And I actually liked Silver Dream Racer for a bit of easy viewing, and the end with Barry Sheene racing was good viewing.

    Harley-Davidson and the Marlboro Man

It came out when I was about 16 (Thats showing my age), had a wicked start with some boobies, (I was 16, remember). Had Mickey Rourke riding a custom bike to the sound of that Bon Jovi cowboy song, I remember it putting shivers up my spine, I taped it off TV and wore out the video! The start was excellent and then it went downhill quick from there. When I moved from my hicksville town to make it in the bigsmoke of Melbourne, I saw a bike done up identical to the from the movie, on Chapel St. It had the same paint job on the tank and even had the same front end with twin disks.

My mum loved the World's Fastest Indian so much she bought the collectors boxed copy from Woolies. It's got the original 70's NZ doco the movie was based on. Anthony Hopkins did an excellent job of ol' Bert Munroe.
