Hey Guys

Was talking to a mate today & he was saying that I'm not getting the full potential out of my cams as the motor is a stock 88ci.

He went on to say that if I up'd it to 95ci & get SE high comp pistons it would make a big difference.

Now why I chose this cam was because dealer recommended this with stock engine.

Who do I believe as I'm really just learning about all this stuff.

If I need to go an upgrade on bore size should I buy new barrels or get ones on bike bored out.

the ones on the shelf that have been hard to sell

211's are not designed for stock 88's at all
even if you didnt want to go with head work, and just use your stock heads as they are, but just go for the
95 cube HC pistons as mentioned, things would still improve greatly
if you were to buy the barrells as well, it is a little more expensive, but it means you can do it all in one hit
up to you, your budget, and your schedule

For a quick fix that would be forged flatops & what SE heads do you recommend.

What HC pistons do you recommend also & can you define the head work that is required for this combo.

You're right with what you say in regards to dealer, It's like ' here comes another sucker'.

Anyway it sounds like the 95 is definately a goer, possibly the HC pistons & heads, just got to fine tune on which ones I need to get.

you could check out HD pistons 22661-99a
I imagine they are at a reasonable price point
and their claimed comp ratio would(to my mind) suit you well with that cam
if you wanted to buy barrells, and could live without head work, you could do it all in few hours
of course you could go on and on with the thought"maybe I should just do this now as well"
but this could be an acceptable minimum effort option
