Well I've got a fairly nasty primary leak, its loosing a fair bit of oil.

Anyone know how to fix this? probably gearbox has to come out from what I've heard so far?

At 8000kms I'm sure it shouldn't be leaking

Anyways, probably get her up to Supercycles sometime in the near future, just can't find the time to get it sorted.... anyone know a mobile harley mechanic in WA by any chance?

After some more inspection last night, looks like it might be weeping from where the shifter shaft is, leaking downwards and spraying back from there, down onto the cover.

Primary fluid / tranny lube? I have redline in the primary which is what appears to be leaking.

Might have to get it into somewhere as I don't have the time nor tools required but it'll probably have to wait a while until I can get some time off work to drop it off somewhere !!

alchemist, if it's coming from the behind the primary it's the shaft seal, which can be replaced by going in through the primary side. but make sure when they replace the seal they use the blue one it's a better seal, not the black.

I read this thread and didn't even look at the dates.   ...  Until just now ....   And then theres mastercard!
