Oil Filter 1340

I found this on another forum and it alarmed me about filter selection.

Basically the EVO oil filter is 30 microns in filter media and the Twin cam is now 5 micron. The oil jets that cool the bottom of the pistons in a twin cam engine need the 5 micron rating otherwise they will not be able to function once they get clogged and the pistons will heat up more than they should.

I have an EVO and Twin Cam, just did a service on both and used the Twin Cam filter on EVO and TC.

Should have used a 30micron filter on the EVO, only did about 60klms since oil change...what damage if any would be done running the 5micron over the 30micron filter?

No real idea but maybe it could hold back pump pressure = bad (wind the idle back up to where it's meant to be)
or filter crap out of the oil = good
