There have been a lot topics on cams, cubes and heads recently.
It seems most would like a street/touring motor with an honest 100/100 pulling from 2500 and reving right out and be OK with 103/107ci
So what parts and from who can get that done without extra machining work or complicated set up.
ie. you pay for performance heads and fit them, not get them reported and re valved. You pay for thottle boby and fit it etc.
If it cant be suppied by Oz suppiers, so what
If it can't be HD, or must be HD, so what
Just a solid list of parts from various places that add up to a good solid reliable combo.
Since I installed me tacho I am surprised at how low in the rev range we mostly ride, 2500 to 3500 seems to be the average.....anything more than that generally involves breaking the speed or noise limit or both......
My loss of a large chunk of me demerits has tempered my entusiasm for added HP and TQ.....
A good aircleaner, pipes, TTS and mild cams gives the stock motor enough for ya to start having to worry about the boys in blue...
Another issue in the persuit of added HP is engine longativity......with increased compression and cubes comes increased wear, let alone that your gonna havta open it up when ever the oppportunity presents....
As Andij put it some time ago, it's one thing to have heaps of power to go fast it's another stopping it........

Hey Oz, don't worry about it mate, it's just the internet, you can't really tell just reading what someone posts, it's not like face to face, were you can see the look on there face, hear how it's coming out. probably a lot of sport drinks going down in the west LOL but mate Aussie's are Aussie's would not have them any other way.
Keep posting.
me i'm going to the track tomorrow night if i get time after work, here in the east it's every wednesday night 12 months a year, they close for winter in the west so they get cabin feaver
they will be right soon, i'm only going to test out a new manifold i have as i think the SE CV51 is a bit restrictive, i got my SE Cv51 tunners kit, no lap top racing for me, but they are good with EFI.
you can donate a trip to the east coast for the best of the HD's in the west and they can race in Screamin Eagle here in Sydney would be fun and you could come up and give em hell if an old senior citizen kicks there butt over quarter mile, cheers
I have not read the post's, but just telling you 100/100, can be easy on some dyno's and it can be hard on other dyno's, depends how the dyno is set up, what dyno your useing, even the dyno room.
but i'll tell you what 100/100 can get you if the 100/100 is on Cow's Dyno as it don't give out HP or TQ real easy. but my mate weigh's 100KG in birthday suit he has a stock looking FXDWG twin Cam 95 carb has 100/100 could have a bit more TQ? but it's close, he does consistent 11.7 105 to 107mph. that's 100/100 real horses not warn out nag's.
cheers
