Hey Seaeagle, just to throw in my .02c,   My bike runs an isolated primary. I have not had any issues with it so far.

Idealy i would run a 3" belt / open primary set up with an even shorter jockey shift, gotta get the fingers nice and close.

Gotta love the old kicker Chris, I once had a battery blow up on me whilst riding. The regulator went south and was overcharging to buggery. lost a pair of jeans and a whole lot of paint and chrome had to be redone. A mate was working as Service manager for Fraser's at the time and he had a spare that had been thrown out as it wasn't charging up to specs, but was good enough for a kicker only set up. Score!!! Run a sealed one on the Heritage as it's lecky only. Dave's post on electrics is great. Never worried about it but I've gone and checked everything just in case. All OK.

l see an oily inner primary, with a good oily coating in the right places, l can see the chain oiler with a drip of oil coming out, (good).. l see a chain that looks
to long or badly stretched for this bike, id count the links to see it has 82, & if it has ,rotate checking for tight spots out of curiosity
, as it looks like it needs to be replaced either way.... ...Mine went dry & heated up (adjuster pad)meltied it self to the chain and cogs,,
what a hassle l was about 60 miles from home , rode all the way sloooowwwwly,,,, what a mess....
